EWANGELIA - J 17, 20-26 (Aby stanowili jedno)

W czasie ostatniej wieczerzy Jezus, podniósłszy oczy ku niebu, modlił się tymi słowami:
«Ojcze Święty, proszę nie tylko za nimi, ale i za tymi, którzy dzięki ich słowu będą wierzyć we Mnie, aby wszyscy stanowili jedno, jak Ty, Ojcze, we Mnie,
a Ja w Tobie, aby i oni stanowili jedno w Nas, aby świat uwierzył, żeś Ty Mnie posłał.
I także chwałę, którą Mi dałeś, przekazałem im, aby stanowili jedno, tak jak My jedno stanowimy. Ja w nich, a Ty we Mnie. Oby się tak zespolili w jedno, aby świat poznał, żeś Ty Mnie posłał i żeś Ty ich umiłował tak, jak Mnie umiłowałeś.
Ojcze, chcę, aby także ci, których Mi dałeś, byli ze Mną tam, gdzie Ja jestem, aby widzieli chwałę moją, którą Mi dałeś, bo umiłowałeś Mnie przed założeniem świata.
Ojcze sprawiedliwy! Świat Ciebie nie poznał, lecz Ja Ciebie poznałem i oni poznali, żeś Ty Mnie posłał. Objawiłem im Twoje imię i nadal będę objawiał, aby miłość, którą Ty Mnie umiłowałeś, w nich była i Ja w nich».

MEDYTACJA

Jezus modli się do Ojca w czasie Ostatniej Wieczerzy. Syn Boży nieustannie zwraca się do Ojca. W ten sposób trwa odwieczna komunia Osób Boskich. Słowo wcielone, przez które wszystko się stało, zaprasza także swoje stworzenie do modlitwy, która ma moc jednoczyć podzielony świat z sobą w Duchu Świętym. Jezus pragnie, aby jego Kościół był wspólnotą, chce nas zbawić we wspólnocie...

Chrystus pragnie, aby wszyscy Jego wyznawcy stanowili jedno, tak jak On jest jedno z Ojcem. Ta jedność ma być świadectwem dla świata, aby ludzie uwierzyli, że Jezus został posłany przez Ojca. W każdej modlitwie, w której kierujemy swoje serce i myśli ku Panu, odzwierciedla się troska o jedność wewnętrzną Kościoła, aby wspólnota wierzących była zjednoczona w miłości i wierze w Chrystusa...

Jezus modli się o jedność swoich uczniów. Widzimy niesamowitą aktualność tej prośby w dzisiejszych czasach, a jednocześnie misję dla każdej i każdego z nas. Naszym zadaniem jest budować jedność i być apostołem jedności, a oznacza to jednocześnie bycie siewcą dobroci, miłości i życzliwości międzyludzkiej...

Jezus w Modlitwie Arcykapłańskiej prosi za swoich uczniów, aby stanowili jedno między sobą i w Bogu. Są latoroślami wszczepionymi w winny krzew. Mają stanowić 'jedno' w Bogu, co przekłada się potem na bycie 'jedno' między sobą. Ta jedność jest nie tylko świadectwem wobec świata, ale jest też powołaniowa, przyciągająca innych do wspólnoty z Bogiem i braćmi...

Jezus modli się o to, byśmy byli tam, gdzie On jest. To nie tylko nasza przyszłość w niebie. To jest ciągłe zadanie dla ucznia, aby w swoim życiu był przy Jezusie w słowach, gestach i uczynkach świadcząc o przynależności do Niego...

Stanowić jedno. To jest wielkie, choć nie spełnione jeszcze, pragnienie Jezusa. Jesteśmy wezwani, aby odnajdywać w sobie przestrzeń do przebaczenia
i pojednania, wsłuchując się w słowa modlitwy Pana...

Potrzebujemy świadectwa jedności. Jedność, w rozumieniu Chrystusa, nie zakłada braku różnic, braku trudnych sytuacji, ale zakłada miłość i dialog
w rozwiązywaniu trudności, wypracowywanie wspólnych rozwiązań. Często w sytuacjach konfliktowych nie radzimy sobie. Stąd uczniom Chrystusa, czyli
i nam, potrzebny jest Duch Święty, Jego pomoc, abyśmy potrafili żyć w jedności, dawać świadectwo życia...

Nie zwyciężamy dzięki swoim zdolnościom. Zwyciężamy, bo zwyciężył za nas Baranek Boży, Jezus Chrystus. My z Nim, dzięki słowu swojego świadectwa, jeśli wyżej niż życie cenimy Zbawiciela...

Nasza wiara w Chrystusa wydaje się światu niewiele warta. Ale gdy dla niej będziemy umieli wyrzec się wygodnego życia na tym świecie, gdy pokażemy, że wyżej niż wszystko cenimy naszego Zbawiciela, to świat inaczej spojrzy na naszą wiarę...

Modlitwa Jezusa o jedność jest wciąż zadaniem dla nas, chrześcijan. Musimy być jedno, aby świat uwierzył. Ten świat potrzebuje naszego świadectwa. Świadectwo jedności chrześcijan prowadzi innych do wiary. Chrystus modli się o jedność uczniów. Sprawa jedności chrześcijan to konieczny warunek, aby świat uwierzył...

Jezus pragnie byśmy my, Jego uczniowie, znaleźli się kiedyś tam, gdzie On, czyli w domu Ojca, w niebie. Taka perspektywa pozwala, zwłaszcza tym zbliżającym się do kresu życia, odetchnąć. Ale zwraca też uwagę Jego gorąca prośba o jedność wśród uczniów. Dziś jest inaczej, jesteśmy podzieleni, nie tylko na różne wspólnoty chrześcijańskie, ale też w jednym katolickim Kościele...

Jezus mówi, że aby odbudować jedność, należy zjednoczyć się z Nim i wokół Niego. Nie mamy wskazywać palcem, kto jest winny podziałowi. Mamy wszyscy, bez wyjątku, zbliżać się do Chrystusa, do Niego nawracać się. To jedyna sensowna droga ku jedności...

...Jezu, proszę o dar jedności dla mojej rodziny i wspólnoty... Proszę o łaskę odczucia Twojej bliskości i bliskości Ojca oraz bycia 'wszczepionym' w tę ich miłość... Dziękuję za doświadczenie bycia wybranym do dawania świadectwa...

GOSPEL - J 17, 20-26 (That they may be one)

During the Last Supper, Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and prayed with these words:
« Holy Father, I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in Me thanks to their word, that they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
And I have given them the glory that you gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are one. I in them and you in me. May they become one, so that the world may know that You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Father, I want those whom you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they may see my glory, which you have given me, because you loved me before the creation of the world.
Righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You, and they know that You have sent Me. I have revealed your name to them and I will continue to reveal it, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them.

MEDITATION

Jesus prays to the Father during the Last Supper. The Son of God constantly turns to the Father. In this way, the eternal communion of the Divine Persons continues. The Incarnate Word, through whom all things were made, also invites his creation to prayer, which has the power to unite the divided world with himself in the Holy Spirit. Jesus wants his Church to be a community, he wants to save us in community...

Christ desires all His followers to be one, just as He is one with the Father. This unity is to be a testimony to the world, so that people will believe that Jesus was sent by the Father. In every prayer in which we direct our hearts and thoughts to the Lord, we reflect our concern for the internal unity of the Church, so that the community of believers is united in love and faith in Christ...

Jesus prays for the unity of his disciples. We see the incredible relevance of this request in today's times, and at the same time a mission for each of us. Our task is to build unity and be an apostle of unity, and this means at the same time being a sower of goodness, love and interpersonal kindness...

In the High Priestly Prayer, Jesus asks for his disciples to be one among themselves and in God. They are branches grafted onto the vine. They are to be 'one' in God, which then translates into being 'one' among themselves. This unity is not only a witness to the world, but is also vocational, drawing others into communion with God and brothers...

Jesus prays for us to be where He is. It's not just our future in heaven. This is a constant task for the disciple to be with Jesus in his life in words, gestures and deeds, proving that he belongs to Him...

Be one. This is Jesus' great, though not yet fulfilled, desire. We are called to find within ourselves the space for forgiveness and reconciliation, listening to the words of the Lord's prayer...

We need a testimony of unity. Unity, as Christ understands it, does not assume the absence of differences or the absence of difficult situations, but it assumes love and dialogue in solving difficulties and developing common solutions. We often cannot cope in conflict situations. Hence, the disciples of Christ, i.e. us, need the Holy Spirit, His help, so that we can live in unity, give testimony of life...

We don't win because of our abilities. We are victorious because the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, has won for us. We with Him, thanks to the word of our testimony, if we value the Savior above life...

Our faith in Christ seems to be of little value to the world. But when we are able to renounce a comfortable life in this world for her sake, when we show that we value our Savior above all else, the world will look at our faith differently...

Jesus' prayer for unity is still a task for us Christians. We must be one for the world to believe. This world needs our testimony. The witness of Christian unity leads others to faith. Christ prays for the unity of the disciples. The cause of Christian unity is a necessary condition for the world to believe...

Jesus wants us, His disciples, to one day be where He is, that is, in the Father's house, in heaven. This perspective allows, especially those approaching the end of life, to breathe. But His passionate request for unity among the disciples also draws attention. Today it is different, we are divided, not only into different Christian communities, but also in one Catholic Church...

Jesus says that to rebuild unity, we must unite with Him and around Him. We are not to point fingers at who is to blame for the division. We must all, without exception, draw closer to Christ and convert to Him. This is the only sensible path to unity...

...Jesus, I am asking for the gift of unity for my family and community... I am asking for the grace to feel Your closeness and the Father's closeness and to be 'grafted' into their love... Thank you for the experience of being chosen to bear witness...
