EWANGELIA - J 6, 55. 60-69 (Do kogo pójdziemy, Ty masz słowa życia wiecznego)

W synagodze w Kafarnaum Jezus powiedział:
«Ciało moje jest prawdziwym pokarmem, a Krew moja jest prawdziwym napojem».
A wielu spośród Jego uczniów, którzy to usłyszeli, mówiło: «Trudna jest ta mowa. Któż jej może słuchać?»
Jezus jednak, świadom tego, że uczniowie Jego na to szemrali, rzekł do nich: «To was gorszy? A gdy ujrzycie Syna Człowieczego wstępującego tam, gdzie był przedtem? To Duch daje życie; ciało na nic się nie zda. Słowa, które Ja wam powiedziałem, są duchem i są życiem. Lecz pośród was są tacy, którzy nie wierzą».
Jezus bowiem od początku wiedział, którzy nie wierzą, i kto ma Go wydać. Rzekł więc: «Oto dlaczego wam powiedziałem: Nikt nie może przyjść do Mnie, jeżeli nie zostało mu to dane przez Ojca». Od tego czasu wielu uczniów Jego odeszło i już z Nim nie chodziło. Rzekł więc Jezus do Dwunastu: «Czyż i wy chcecie odejść?»
Odpowiedział Mu Szymon Piotr: «Panie, do kogo pójdziemy? Ty masz słowa życia wiecznego. A my uwierzyliśmy i poznaliśmy, że Ty jesteś Świętym Bożym».

MEDYTACJA

Jezus przedstawia się jako źródło życia i pokoju. Jan Ewangelista opisuje to, co dziś znamy jako Eucharystię. Cudowna obecność Chrystusowego ciała i krwi pod postaciami chleba i wina...

Uczniowie Jezusa nie są w stanie uwierzyć w słowa Nauczyciela. Niedowierzanie zamieniło się w ich sercach w oburzenie i zaczęli szemrać. Jeden po drugim ukradkiem opuszczają synagogę. Nie chcą już chodzić za Jezusem, nie chcą żyć z Nim w przyjaźni...

Jezusa pyta dwunastu apostołów, czy i oni chcą odejść. On w swoim ziemskim życiu z pewnością nie chciał, aby opuścili Go ludzie, których powołał. Daje im jednak wolność, nie przymusza ich, by z Nim zostali. Dwunastu zostaje przy Chrystusie, ponieważ wierzą, że tylko On może dać im udział w prawdziwym życiu...

W dalszym ciągu trwa ożywiona dyskusja i kontrowersje wśród tłumu słuchających i świadków znaków, jakie dokonuje Jezus, aż w końcu dochodzi do przesilenia. Po wzbudzeniu entuzjazmu, a nawet podziwu, Chrystus rozczarowuje oczekiwania różnych grup, a nawet uczniów...

Poza faktem historycznym ta historia to także nauczanie Ewangelisty skierowane do wspólnot chrześcijańskich w przyszłości. Można być zafascynowany tym, co Jezus czyni, czego naucza, ale nie przyjąć Jego osoby i sposobu działania, a nawet Go ‘zdradzić’. Oczekiwanie na Mesjasza według naszych wyobrażeń, a nie Sługi, jest ciągle obecną pokusą...

Jezus jest świadom kontrowersji, jaka ma miejsce. Prowokuje uczniów do tego, aby rozwiązali kryzys i opowiedzieli się, po której stoją stronie. Zdrada chciałaby pozostać w ukryciu, w jakiejś formie braku pamięci, ale można ją uleczyć tylko przez uznanie i jawność...

Odpowiedź Piotra wydaje się fundamentalna: „Panie, do kogo pójdziemy? Ty masz słowa życia wiecznego. A my uwierzyliśmy i poznaliśmy, że Ty jesteś Świętym Bożym”. Szczęście, jedyne spełnienie, daje doświadczenie bliskiej relacji z Bogiem...

Tylko bliska relacja z Bogiem nakierowuje na budowanie dojrzałych relacji z innymi, budowanie rodziny, grona przyjaciół, do dojrzałego polubienia, pokochania siebie i zobaczenia, jaką mamy wartość, do budowania pokoju i jedności. Przychodźmy do Niego, spróbujmy, bo warto...

Jezus wskazuje wiarę, czyli przyjęcie Go takim, jaki jest, jako formę łącznika, który umożliwia spotkanie i ofiarowuje, na bazie relacji, elementarne zrozumienie Jego Osoby. Uwiarygodnia Go Ojciec i sposób Jego funkcjonowania. Kto doświadczył, czym jest stworzenie, zachwyci się odkupieniem...

...Jezu, proszę o głęboką ufność we wszystko, co do mnie mówisz... Proszę o łaskę rozpoznania w Tobie pokornym i ukrzyżowanym prawdziwego Mesjasza... Dziękuję za Twój przykład pokory i cierpliwości...

GOSPEL - J 6, 55. 60-69 (To whom we go, you have the words of eternal life)

In the synagogue in Capernaum, Jesus said:
"My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink."
And many of His disciples who heard this said, “This is a difficult saying. Who can listen to her? »
But Jesus, knowing that his disciples were grumbling at this, said to them, "Does this offend you? And when you see the Son of Man ascending where he was before? It is the Spirit who gives life; the body is of no use. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. But there are some among you who do not believe.”
For Jesus knew from the beginning who did not believe and who would betray Him. So he said, “This is why I said to you: No one can come to me unless it has been given to him by the Father.” From that time on, many of His disciples left and no longer walked with Him. So Jesus said to the Twelve, "Do you also want to go away?"
Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. And we have believed and known that You are the Holy One of God."

MEDITATION

Jesus presents himself as the source of life and peace. John the Evangelist describes what we know today as the Eucharist. The miraculous presence
of Christ's body and blood under the appearance of bread and wine...

Jesus' disciples are unable to believe the Teacher's words. Disbelief turned to indignation in their hearts and they began to murmur. One by one, they leave the synagogue stealthily. They don't want to follow Jesus anymore, they don't want to live in friendship with Him...

Jesus asks the twelve apostles if they also want to leave. In his earthly life, he certainly did not want the people he called to abandon him. However, He gives them freedom and does not force them to stay with Him. The Twelve stay with Christ because they believe that only He can give them a share in true life...

There continues to be a lively discussion and controversy among the crowd of listeners and witnesses of the signs performed by Jesus, until finally a crisis occurs. After arousing enthusiasm and even admiration, Christ disappoints the expectations of various groups and even disciples...

Apart from the historical fact, this story is also the teaching of the Evangelist addressed to Christian communities in the future. You can be fascinated by what Jesus does and what he teaches, but not accept His person and way of acting, or even 'betray' Him. Waiting for the Messiah according to our ideas, and not the Servant, is an ever-present temptation...

Jesus is aware of the controversy that is taking place. It challenges students to solve the crisis and decide which side they are on. Betrayal would like to remain hidden, in some form of lack of memory, but it can only be healed through recognition and openness...

Peter's answer seems fundamental: "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. And we have believed and known that You are the Holy One of God.” Happiness, the only fulfillment, comes from the experience of a close relationship with God...

Only a close relationship with God leads us to building mature relationships with others, building a family and a group of friends, to maturely liking, loving ourselves and seeing our value, to building peace and unity. Let's come to Him, let's try, because it's worth it...

Jesus indicates faith, that is, accepting Him as He is, as a form of link that enables meeting and offers, on the basis of relationships, an elementary understanding of His Person. He is authenticated by the Father and the way He functions. Anyone who has experienced what creation is will delight
in redemption...

...Jesus, I am asking for deep trust in everything you say to me... I am asking for the grace to recognize in You, humble and crucified, the true Messiah... Thank you for Your example of humility and patience...
