EWANGELIA - J 6, 44-51 (Chleb żywy, który zstąpił z nieba)

Jezus powiedział do ludu:
«Nikt nie może przyjść do Mnie, jeżeli go nie pociągnie Ojciec, który Mnie posłał; Ja zaś wskrzeszę go w dniu ostatecznym. Napisane jest u Proroków: „Oni wszyscy będą uczniami Boga”. Każdy, kto od Ojca usłyszał i przyjął naukę, przyjdzie do Mnie. Nie znaczy to, aby ktokolwiek widział Ojca; jedynie Ten, który jest od Boga, widział Ojca. Zaprawdę, zaprawdę, powiadam wam: Kto we Mnie wierzy, ma życie wieczne.
Ja jestem chlebem życia. Ojcowie wasi jedli mannę na pustyni i pomarli. To jest chleb, który z nieba zstępuje: Kto go je, nie umrze. Ja jestem chlebem żywym, który zstąpił z nieba. Jeśli ktoś spożywa ten chleb, będzie żył na wieki. Chlebem, który Ja dam, jest moje Ciało, wydane za życie świata».

Jezus mówi o tym, jak współpracuje z Ojcem, aby zbawić ludzi. Wspólne działanie w jednym celu przynosi owoce, którymi mogą cieszyć się wszyscy współpracownicy...

Bóg pragnie prowadzić nas do zbawienia we wspólnocie. Wspólnota jest bowiem miejscem zarówno odkrywania Boga, jak i wprowadzania w czyn Jego nauk...

Uczniowie Jezusa zaproszeni są do karmienia się ciałem Chrystusa. Można się Nim karmić podczas liturgii we wspólnocie Kościoła. Chleb ten dodaje nam sił, by kochać bliźniego i jest zadatkiem życia wiecznego...

Jezus ukazuje siebie jako 'chleb życia'. Nie jest tylko zapowiedzią, 'znakiem' tej rzeczywistości, która ma nadejść. Nie jest jak 'manna na pustyni', która była zapowiedzią przyjścia 'chleba żywego'. Tym 'chlebem' jest Jezus, który daje swoje ciało za życie świata. Jest to zapowiedź męki i tego, co ona przynosi...

Przyjęcie Jezusa jako 'chleb życia' nie jest wynikiem działań człowieka, ale darem Ojca, który chce zbawić wszystkich, ale zostawia każdemu wolność wyboru...

Wierzymy, że Ojciec pragnie zbawienia wszystkich. To tajemnicze 'pociąganie od Ojca' jest wrodzone człowiekowi, a objawia się przez pytania o sens, jakie człowiek sobie stawia oraz pragnienie dobra i rozwoju, jakie odczuwa...

Trzeba nam, chrześcijanom, karmić się Chrystusem, szczególnie podczas Eucharystii, podczas słuchania oraz czytania Słowa Bożego i modlitwy. Trzeba, aby to było widoczne po ewangelicznym sposobie życia. Stańmy się żywą monstrancją. Zanośmy Go wszędzie. Wówczas świat wokół nas zmieni się. Będzie w nim 'więcej' Boga...

Wiara i Eucharystia odgrywają najważniejszą rolę w naszym życiu. Wiara i Eucharystia prowadzą nas do zjednoczenia z Bogiem, dają życie wieczne...

Każdy z nas jest stworzony dla życia, także tego w wieczności. W naszym ciągłym zabieganiu nie mamy czasu pomyśleć o życiu wiecznym. Tymczasem jest to perspektywa, która jest przed nami i musimy się jakoś do niej przygotować...

Są dwa istotne warunki otrzymania życia wiecznego: wiara w Jezusa i Eucharystia – Ciało za życie świata. Tylko głęboka wiara, nasz osobisty kontakt
z Jezusem, da nam życie wieczne...

Jezus obiecuje, że kto w Niego wierzy, już ma życie wieczne. Ma je ten, kto karmi się Jego Ciałem, wydanym za nas na krzyżu. Niewiele trzeba, a mimo to tak wielu pozostaje na te obietnice obojętnymi...

Tylko Bóg wie, co i ile nam dał. I tylko On może nas osądzić. My, wierzący w Jezusa i karmiący się Jego Ciałem, powinniśmy jednak pamiętać, że przyszliśmy do Jezusa, bo pociągnął nas Ojciec. Przyszliśmy, bo otrzymaliśmy łaskę wiary. To wyróżnienie i zaszczyt. I tak na siebie patrzmy. Nie jako na tych lepszych od innych, ale jako na obdarowanych i zaszczyconych...

...Jezu, proszę o głęboką wiarę w moc Komunii świętej, przygotowującej mnie na życie wieczne... Proszę o łaskę spożywania Ciała i Krwi Pańskiej... Dziękuję za to, że wzywasz mnie do korzystania z daru Eucharystii...

GOSPEL - J 6, 44-51 (Living bread that came down from heaven)

Jesus said to the people:
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; And I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the Prophets: "They will all be disciples of God." Everyone who has heard from the Father and accepted the teaching will come to Me. This does not mean that anyone has seen the Father; only He who is from God has seen the Father. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me has eternal life.
I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate manna in the desert and died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven: whoever eats it will not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever. The bread that I will give is my body, given for the life of the world.

MEDITATION

Jesus talks about how He works with the Father to save people. Working together towards one goal brings fruits that all collaborators can enjoy...

God wants to lead us to salvation in community. The community is a place both for discovering God and putting His teachings into practice...

Jesus' disciples are invited to feed on the body of Christ. You can feed on Him during the liturgy in the Church community. This bread gives us the strength to love our neighbor and is a pledge of eternal life...

Jesus presents himself as the 'bread of life'. It is not just an announcement or a 'sign' of the reality that is to come. It is not like 'manna in the desert', which was the announcement of the coming of 'living bread'. This 'bread' is Jesus, who gives his body for the life of the world. This is a foreshadowing of suffering and what it brings...

Accepting Jesus as the 'bread of life' is not the result of human actions, but a gift of the Father who wants to save everyone, but leaves everyone the freedom of choice...

We believe that the Father desires the salvation of all. This mysterious 'attraction from the Father' is innate to man and is revealed by the questions about meaning that man asks himself and the desire for good and development that he feels...

We, Christians, need to be nourished by Christ, especially during the Eucharist, while listening and reading the Word of God and praying. This must be visible in the evangelical way of life. Let's become a living monstrance. Let us carry Him everywhere. Then the world around us will change. There will be 'more' God in it...

Faith and the Eucharist play the most important role in our lives. Faith and the Eucharist lead us to union with God, give us eternal life...

Each of us is created for life, including eternity. In our constant busyness, we do not have time to think about eternal life. Meanwhile, this is the prospect that lies before us and we must somehow prepare for it...

There are two important conditions for receiving eternal life: faith in Jesus and the Eucharist - the Body for the life of the world. Only deep faith, our personal contact
with Jesus, he will give us eternal life...

Jesus promises that whoever believes in Him already has eternal life. It is possessed by those who feed on His Body, given for us on the cross. It doesn't take much, and yet so many remain indifferent to these promises...

Only God knows what and how much He has given us. And only He can judge us. However, we who believe in Jesus and feed on His Body should remember that we came to Jesus because the Father drew us. We came because we received the grace of faith. It's a distinction and an honor. Let's look at each other anyway. Not as those who are better than others, but as those who are gifted and honored...

...Jesus, I am asking for deep faith in the power of Holy Communion, preparing me for eternal life... I am asking for the grace to eat the Body and Blood of the Lord... Thank you for calling me to use the gift of the Eucharist...
